What is Exposure Therapy?
Exposure therapy is a technique used to help manage anxiety disorders or general fears. Exposure therapy aims to face the patient with fear-related stimuli over time.
Gradually, after repetitive exposure to fear, the patient will become desensitised to it.
Along with anxiety, exposure therapy has been effective in treating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and different forms of phobias.
In vivo exposure requires a patient to face an object or stimuli of fear directly. In contrast, imaginal exposure requires a patient to imagine fear-related stimuli.
There are also instances where sensations are brought on in the patient to isolate certain feelings associated with the fear.
After undertaking a course of exposure therapy, patients can rationalise their fears better.

After taking exposure therapy, you will be able to manage your life better and live free of any unnecessary worries.
Your relationships will improve as a result of exposure therapy, as will the ways in which you deal with conflict or trauma.
